It is a common misconception that asbestos awareness certificates will and should only last for a maximum period of 12 months. The HSE have openly clarified the situation and stated that you are not legally required to undergo asbestos awareness training every 12 months.
An employer must be happy that you or your employees are fully aware and remain fully aware of the dangers of asbestos. Therefore there is no exact time frame given by the HSE, however we do recommend that a 12 monthly refresher course is undertaken unless dramatic changes are made to legislation within that time frame.

Yes. You will be asked a series of multiple choice questions at the end of each module. But don't worry, these are simply to refresh your memory and do not count as test scores. At the end of the course you will be asked a series of further multiple choice questions with an allocated pass mark. They are not difficult and are based upon common sense answers regarding the course content and real life situations. In the event that the user does not pass the test, they will be given a second attempt to pass the course using new questions.
